Greg Barrow is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of General Capital Partners, established in 2002. Greg has focused on the distressed marketplace since 1999 and has participated in over 100 transactions with companies experiencing financial difficulties. He leads the firm’s new engagements to identify, prioritize and outline all available options for clients in a variety of industries including the manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, and energy sectors. Greg and GCP have appeared in over 40 bankruptcy courts around the country. Professionals nationwide serving middle market companies either facing default, in need of restructuring or already in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding, value his advice. His expertise has been featured in media outlets such as Bloomberg, Dow Jones, MSN Money, The Deal, Denver Business Journal and others. Greg is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and has been a panelist for the ABI’s Complex Financial Restructuring Program for the past two years. He also recently spoke on the ABI’s panel on Real Estate Developers and Bankruptcy in January 2010.
Greg has an extensive background in business leadership, entrepreneurship and investment banking. From 1991 to 1999, Greg was the founder and CEO of Peak Resources, Inc., an IBM Business Partner providing information systems and solutions to Fortune 1000 companies. Under Greg’s leadership, Peak grew from a startup to nearly $20 MM and is currently one of the top 100 privately held companies in Colorado. Previously, he was a top performer and sales manager with Capital Associates International, Inc., a publicly traded computer leasing company. Greg was recognized as an “Up and Comer” by the Denver Business Journal in 1996 and has been active in the community since arriving in Colorado over twenty years ago. Greg received a B.S. in Business Administration with emphasis in Computer Science and Accounting from Washington & Lee University and served on its Alumni Board of Directors from 2000-2004.
